[happenings]

today:

i drove through mcdonald's before school (I KNOW THAT IS AGAINST MY NEW YEARS RESOLUTION) because i needed breakfast SO badly.  mcgriddles are heatlhy right? if not, they should be. i'm just pretending they are.

i went to my computer class and felt awful for the boy next to me who was SO lost in the photoshop tutorial. i wanted to help him so badly but i would have fallen behind too! it was sad. he had dreadlocks and coffee, typical ute, typical INDIE ute.

i saw nine people that i knew on campus today, two of which i've never actually met, i just know who they are, so that's cool. anyway, i know at uvu that is usually how many you see on your strut down the hall of flags (times 3) but the U is different.  it is a real university. outdoors and everything. with people from states other than utah or california.

in my severe and unusual weather class (i needed a science credit) a man walked by the door in the hallway in rainbow reflective sunglasses, a long black trench coat, and if i remember correctly, a cowboy hat.  it was great. i like my friend allie that i met in that class, we laughed, then she dropped her pen because she likes to do that 12 times a day.

i got on facebook 3235 times.

i dropped prescriptions off at the university pharmacy for my mom, the process went as follows:
me: "hi i need to fill three prescriptions"
tech: "ok amy have you filled here before?"
me: "yes"
tech: "alright let me just verify your date of birth...?"
me: "eight, twenty-nine, sixty-eight" (sorry mom everyone knows you're 42 now :/)
tech: "" (he just looked up at me, puzzled)
me: "oh these are for my mom, sorry. i'm not 42"
then he laughed and it really was pretty funny.

i skyped with lexi and jenny.

dynamite by taio cruz was on THREE stations on at once. i hate it now.

i rode frontrunner home. a lady parked her car illegally and brought her dad onto the train who was about 75 and got him situated.  the train took off. ha. she was stuck. it was sad but she was such a good sport about it.  entertaining.

i babysat ike while my mom got a haircut.  he 3 years old.  yeah, there are some girls my age who have children who are 3 years old. sometimes when my 17 year old brother and i are walking around with him we get some weird looks, it's entertaining. but about the babysitting,  THIS is what happened in 2 minutes.

powdered milk is the finest powder in the world, and it stinks, and he ran away from me leaving a trail through the kitchen and family room afterwards. he also thinks spaghetti noodles are fun to step on. he has no remorse. and ask my mom, things like this literally happen daily.

and lastly, on a much happier note, my 3 hour night class got out an hour and a half early. and i made it to my car safely across the dark and eery campus.

[the view]

sometimes i hate going to the u and sometimes i love it. my hate increased when i moved home about a month ago and became a true commuter. i ride the frontrunner sometimes. it's great. and weird. i drove to my night class on thursday and as i used 1/4 tank of gas driving up the hills with stoplights everywhere, i saw a pretty sunset.
 but that's what i like about the u, the view, it is sooooo pretty. go check it out.

 i am living proof that byu fans can survive there too. at xi last week we were all asked to share our favorite u of u sporting event memory. i said the basketball game last week against byu. only like 3 people got it. hopefully you do.
(it was a good joke)

[bloggers' addiction]

this picture is so clever. ha.

i think that we all can admit that blog stalking is...probably the best thing ever.  i became obsessed with it when i came across the seriously so blessed blog a while ago.  if you haven't read it, you should, it is kind of addicting. TAMN is a "typical" young lds mom who blogs. she has the most creative names for her children, definitely with the most unique spelling. bonus points, right?  it really is funny, don't be offended.  one time i tried posting a link to her blog on a friend's wall on facebook. it denied the post with a popup saying "users have reported this offensive material. sorry." so please, don't be so offended that you would be the one to report it to facebook.

anyway, i like this blog so much that i added TAMN on facebook to see if she posts funny things on there too. i mean am i pathetic? she is fictional haha. oh well. at least i'm admitting to this.  first step. well, i found this link on her facebook from one of her friends. this article is written by a non-member who is married to an inactive member. it talks about the weird addiction that bloggers all-over have with these mormon housewife blogs, even though the portrayal of a perfect life is sometimes irritating to them.

i enjoyed the article a lot, it wasn't demeaning towards the church like lots of these discussion articles are.  you should read it. it paints a good picture of mormon bloggers [the bloggernacle, how funny is that?] out there and even somewhat praises them for the good words and example they are putting out there for the church of jesus christ of latter-day saints.

here's a clip about one these bloggers.

[grammar]

it's (it is) just a pet peeve of mine.

your = possessive
you're = you are, hence the apostrophe
it's (it is) NEVER u + r = ur.

there = a place
their = possessive
they're = they are
thurr = duh

not definately.
not definatly.
not definantly.
not definetly.
not definently.
not defiantly.
sound it out, or look for the little red dotted line underneath the word when you type, it means it's (it is) misspelled.

if you really do not care about something, then why would you say that you could care less?  you obviously already care the least amount possible, so it is impossible to care any less.  it's (it is) i COULDN'T care less.  cause you really couldn't. just like you couldn't care less about grammar.  but i could care less about grammar. get it?

neither vs neither
it's (it is) knee-thur.
not nye-thur.
i learnt (not learned) it in 11th grade english.

two = 2
to = motion/direction
too = excessive/in addition to

since vs. sense vs. cents vs. scents. they're (they are) all different.

a lot vs. alot (the misspelling of allot)
third grade, come on.

ANYWAYs. it doesn't have an S on the end.  it's (it is) just anyway.  a person who says anyway automatically gets bonus friendship points with me.  it means they're (they are) smart. smrt.

another category of people that automatically get bonus friendship points are those who (whom? what do i know) correct peoples' grammar on facebook (or the sides of buildings). hysterical.

and i know that i should be capitalized and so should the beginning of sentences.  always remember....
