[tis the season]
why do people feel the need to put things like these in their yards?
santa doesn't deliver trees, there are 9 reindeer, and where did those penguins come from?
he drives a sleigh not a flamed harley.
and this is just too cute to not share.
...he sees you when you're sleeping...that is so creepy.
Merry Christmas Eve!

[so indie it hurts]
being indie and urban is so cool.
guys.
really.
if you own/do/like/whatever more than 5 of this things then you're probably SO indie that it hurts (just like everyone else).
leather/string bracelets. it makes you "unique" and adds personality. the more the better.
self explanatory and hysterical.
is coffee really that good?
they must emit less exhaust or something. GO GREEN!
"we're going out to sushi"
they're not cute. horrid tan lines. but you must be way outdoorsy.
cause natural is the only way to be. boo preservatives.
peace signs: the first stage of being indie.
yoga.
take it OFF of the back of your car right now.
how many pair do YOU own?
i double-bag my milk. thanks for saving the planet for the both of us with your reusable shopping bags.
slouchy beanies--must be worn year-round no matter what the weather.
are they really?
that's sad.
it's alright to feel cool in this store, or say "i got it at urban" cause DUH who doesn't know you must be referring to urban outfitters.
admit it. we all think we look hot in thick black framed glasses. (obviously she does). but doesn't this fact make it funny when you see everyone with their slouchy beanies, skinny ties, or giant scarves wearing them?
p.s. nice lip gloss.
WOW that's so retro. did you restore it?
you might look cool but get real--it itches more than a wool sweater with an irritating tag.
why? no.
everything looks better in an antiqued polaroid, right?
i'll admit i own/do/like/whatever quite a few of these things, but whatever. i don't recycle. and i LOVE aerosols and styrofoam.
maybe we'll run into each other at open mic night at downtown coffee break and we can chat about the environment ;)
p.s. bras are necessary, girls.
p.s.s. this is not meant to offend anyone in any way. i am sorry ahead of time, no need to leave a comment and tell me that.

Mr. Right
I'd die (and Katherine would kill me) if I got married right now, but just for future references so that I don't lose my list:
- able to fit in with my family
- athletic--not too enthusiastic about it, that's annoying.
- not attractive to everyone, and definitely not a pretty boy.
- funny, with a great sense of humor.
- wants to travel.
- a leader.
- rough on the edges, not preachy, but the most spiritual guy when you know him.
- dirty minds are funny.
- good taste in music.
- dresses carefree, clean but not too clean.
- facial hair (not a soul patch) and a buzzed head.
- regularly goes to the temple, strong with temptation.
- has a contagious laugh.
- from a family similar to mine.
- an extremely hard worker.
- all of my friends must approve.
- blunt, honest, insensitive, cause that's the way i am.
- musical is a plus, but not necessary.
- ANTI- American Eagle/Aeropostale/Hollister/Sketchers/DCShoes/Affliction/Ed Hardy/boy jewelry.
- helpful.
- excited about kids.
- smart and educated.
- priesthood exerciser.
- tall/big.
- big eyes.
- a gentleman.
- respectful and friendly to anyone who means anything to me.
- gourmet chef.
- owns a pair of corduroy pants.
- sings hymns during sacrament meeting.

[shout out]
I lucked out.
I've lived with Katherine, who I can rely on for anything, for the past year and a half and we have decided that we just have the greatest friends in the world. Shelby is so sweet and caring. Brielle and Billy are a 2-pack that I love so much. Amanda always has my back and is gorgeous. Funniest person = Karlee, I probably couldn't live without her. I love laugh attacks with Hillary and how she can relate to everyone. Caitlin is always up for an adventure and is such a good example. Lexi is the most thoughtful thug I've ever known.

[december goodies]
December is pretty depressing. It's cold. Finals are here (ok so I have one, big deal). And I'm so ready to move home. So that I can do absolutely nothing. Great.
Anyway.
The goodies of December in SLC, so far, are as follows:
Free two hour parking. Thanks city of Salt Lake.
P.S. has anyone ever seen the change get taken out of a parking meter?
NOPE. Never. How does that work?
The purple time of day...5-5:30.
Favorite. Time. Ever.
Photo courtesy of my friend Anna. She doesn't know I hacked it from her Facebook. I "liked" it at least. Thanks Anna, if you ever see this.
Today I saw an old couple on South Temple.
The husband was walking towards the wife, her rolling along in her jazzy, him with a snowball in hand.
He threw it and laughed as it splattered on the sidewalk in front of her wheels.
It was the greatest thing ever.
Temple square with the lights. Yes I did take this picture (it's opposite day).
Besides the fact that I went straight here from work in a long skirt and coat looking like a sister missionary, it was a fun night with Xi.
Hopefully I find a few more good things that I like out this December. I guess it's only the 2nd so, whatever, I have a while. Happy Holidays!
